Walking The Unpaved Road (Mobile-First Serious Game)

Our intention with this entry was  and is to make people aware of what they really want in their lives.

PLEASE READ THE TEXT BELOW BEFORE PLAYING.

Game controls:

- tap on mobile to select or walk

- left mouse button otherwise

(1) If the intro video and/or the game itself is displayed too cropped, please click the Unity "maximize display" button.

(2) Though this game was meant as mobile-first, if your mobile screen has too low resolution, please use a regular laptop or desktop as backup play ability.

(3) If the intro video does not start after the title screen (just before the avatar creation screen), it is essential for the game experience you watch it first on this page, either on the thumbnail on this page, or with this link:

This version of the game jam entry contains some important bug fixes, including:

- being able to watch and get past the intro video

- added important missing materials

- fixed weird walking glitches

- fixed one NSFW coarse word

Still known (possible) issues:

- may display too cropped in smaller screens

- dialogue bar may be too cropped in smaller screens

- wizard may bump around on the map

- you might be able to fall off the sides of the map

Bugs, in initially released version on Sunday 31 August 2025:

- game breaking bug where the game does not start after the title screen

- weird movement glitches when standing on uneven terrain

- materials missing from key NPCs

- some NPS floating in the sky

- contains one coarse word (to be removed in the next version)

- intro video not displayed
